Daniel is a “born and bred” Gold Coaster and graduated in 1992 from the University of Queensland. Together with his wife, Ceridwen (”Crid”), he is a Director of Burleigh Heads Physiotherapy Centre, and its sister clinic, Broadbeach Physiotherapy Centre.
Dan has extensive private practice and hospital experience on the Gold Coast. He has worked in England and Germany as a physiotherapist for The Royal Navy and the British Army. He also worked as consultant physio with the Australasian Golf Academy, and completed his Level 1 and 2 Sports Physiotherapy Courses. He has a special interest in sports physiotherapy (particularly shoulder, knee, golfing and surfing-related injuries), and musculoskeletal conditions including post-orthopaedic surgery and complex multi-joint injuries. Dan enjoys surfing, keeping fit, playing Oztag, and is a keen but underwhelming golfer.

Ceridwen graduated from the University of Queensland in 1992. She has extensive experience in private practice and hospitals in Australia and the UK. She was the team physiotherapist for the Australian Precision ice skating team in 1997 (and a 6 times Australian champion in her ice skating days!)
Crid’s special interests are lumbo-pelvic-hip dysfunction, ante and post natal musculoskeletal problems and pelvic floor dysfunction- male and female– for urinary incontinence concerns.
Ceridwen enjoys yoga and running and has completed 2 half marathons including one after her second baby.
Together with her husband Daniel, she is a Director of Burleigh Heads and Broadbeach Physiotherapy Centres.

Katrina completed a double degree in Physiotherapy and Exercise Science in 2006 at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. Since then she has worked in both hospital and private practice sectors in Queensland, NSW, and most recently in well recognised Sports Clinic in Melbourne, Victoria. After many years away from the sun & surf, Katrina has finally returned home!
Katrina enjoys treating a variety of musculoskeletal & sporting injuries. She also enjoys post operative rehabilitation for knees, shoulders and ankles. Katrina has completed her Level 1 & 2 DMA Clinical Pilates training and loves teaching one on one and group classes for beginners up to high level athletes.
Katrina has a keen interest in keeping active and healthy. She currently maintains her fitness with surfing, stand up paddle boarding, yoga, and pilates.

Luke graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from ACU in Brisbane in 2015 after which he took a great opportunity with a busy practice in Melbourne. After two years in the cold of Melbourne Luke moved back to the Tweed Valley where he grew up.
Over the two years in Melbourne Luke treated a variety of injuries in-clinic and on the sporting field and was lucky enough to be apart of the Victorian Rugby League Representative programs as a Team Physiotherapist and trainer. This then led Luke to be invited to attend the Australian Schoolboys Championship with the Combined Affiliated State Team.
This has given Luke a great opportunity to work with a variety of individuals to create a suitable treatment plan to get the best long-lasting results. Through the use of manual therapy, dry needling, clinical Pilates and exercise programs he is able to work with you to get you back to where you want to be.
Away from Physiotherapy, Luke loves sport, the beach and his sausage dog Rocky.

Natali graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne in 1994. After working for a year in the hospital system in Melbourne she relocated to the UK where she worked in both the National Health Service and private practice.
Natali returned to Australia in 2007 and has been working in private practice since. Special interests include management of low back and pelvic pain, womens health and Clinical Pilates. Natali has recently undertaken further study in Women’s Health physiotherapy and has attended several advanced pelvic floor courses and has increased her scope of practice in women’s health as a result. Staying up to date with the latest research in the area allows her to accurately diagnose and offer evidence-based treatment options for symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction – urinary incontinence, constipation, prolapse and pain.
Natali is based at our Burleigh Heads Physiotherapy clinic.

Kathy is originally from Melbourne and completed her undergraduate training at Monash University in 2017. She has since spent the last 5 years working in public health at a large metropolitan hospital in the inner Western suburbs covering acute, rehabilitation and community positions and most recently worked in a position as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.
Kathy has a special interest in working with post-operative orthopaedic conditions as well as musculoskeletal rehabilitation and strives to empower her patients with knowledge in their own condition through education and personalised exercise programs and treatments
Outside of work, she enjoys doing pilates and going for walks especially if it’s in the direction of a nice café.

Taha grew up in Vancouver, Canada where he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences (human movement) and gained 4 years of work experience as a personal trainer. He then completed his Master of Physiotherapy Studies at the University of Queensland in 2021 and has since gained valuable rural work experience in Mount Isa.
Taha has an interest in musculoskeletal conditions including sports injuries, as he has gained experience working with AFL and rugby league teams previously. His aim is to provide a personalized assessment and treatment plan to help you achieve your goals and return to your favourite activities safely. Taha is also passionate about neurological rehabilitation, as he gained experience working with a variety of NDIS clients. He believes that with the right guidance, people are capable of improving their quality of life drastically.
Outside of physiotherapy, Taha enjoys mixed martial arts, chess, meditation, and any activity outdoors.

Lara grew up in England and graduated from the University of Cardiff with her Physiotherapy bachelor’s degree in 2020. She gained 3 years of experience working in the NHS, completing junior hospital and Musculoskeletal rotations followed by a senior role in a busy Musculoskeletal clinic. Alongside this she was the lead Physiotherapist for a local rugby team, managing a clinic and supporting pitch side during matches. Lara then spent some time travelling before moving to the Gold Coast in August.
Lara enjoys treating a variety of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries and believes in looking at a person holistically to achieve their goals. Lara has a special interest in strength and conditioning and loves helping people get back to their sports and hobbies as quickly as possible.
Outside of Physiotherapy Lara enjoys CrossFit, yoga and anything outdoors!

Nicholas joined us in August 2021 with 5+ years’ experience. He graduated from Podiatry at QUT in 2015 and has worked both up in the Far North and the Sunshine Coast since graduating. Nicholas moved down to the Gold Coast at the start of 2021 with his wonderful wife and daughter.
On the weekends, he loves going out and about exploring with his family. He loves fishing, camping, and visiting the beautiful beaches all along the Coast. Nicholas has a particular interest in Paediatric Podiatry, Diabetics, sport injuries and nail surgeries. He is kind and passionate about helping his patients achieve their goals and using the motto “prevention is better than cure” to get there.
Nicholas is currently available Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings at our Burleigh Heads clinic.

Kelly graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Science in 2016. Kelly started her career in the private sector and has experience in DVA, NDIS, Medicare EPC, Private, HSS and Telehealth services.
More recently she has moved from the Sunshine Coast, where she was working in two clinics, treating a variety of cardiac, metabolic, musculoskeletal and mental health conditions. She is also interested in pilates and hydrotherapy as an alternative to gym-based exercises. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys surfing, hiking, camping and traveling.

Marcia Orellana is a remedial massage therapist trained at Massage School of Queensland. Her background is that of a functional trainer and Physiotherapist in Chile, where she trained and worked originally. With vast experience in manual therapy, sports and wellness, she has worked in musculoskeletal and sports areas for many years helping people of all ages.
In Australia, she has participated in sports competitions as a remedial massage therapist, supporting athletes in their recovery. She is skilled in deep tissue massage, myofascial release, myofascial cupping, dry needling, Swedish massage, trigger point therapy and craniosacral therapy. Our Gold Coast physio and allied health practices at Burleigh Heads and Broadbeach are committed to provide our clients with the best care and as a result we are dedicated to attracting and retaining highly trained and experienced staff. We also see the benefit of creating an optimal balance of experienced staff sharing with more recent graduates who bring new ideas and innovation.
Directors, Daniel Turner and Ceridwen Way graduated in 1992. Our Senior Physiotherapists, Natali Zantvoort graduated in 1994, Katrina King in 2006. Adeline Green graduated in 2013 and Luke Skillington in 2015. Noelle, our Dietitian and Nutritionist graduated in 1996 and our Podiatrist Nick in 2015.
Daniel, Ceridwen, Natali, Luke and Adeline are members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).
The APA is the peak body representing the physiotherapy profession in Australia. The APA is committed to the concept of continuing professional education and requires all members to document evidence of undertaking 20 hours of professional development. The APA signifies compliance with a standard of professional and ethical behaviour above and beyond the requirements of registration.

Burleigh Heads Physiotherapy Centre first opened in 1986 and was taken over by current owners and principal Physiotherapists, Daniel Turner and Ceridwen Way, in 2001.
From operating as a single-physiotherapist practice, it has grown over the last 15 years to having multiple physiotherapists; Remedial massage therapists, a Dietitian and Podiatrist allowing us to provide multi-disciplinary allied health care and a team approach for our clients’ speedy recovery and optimal programs.

We have just moved to Shop 1, 2633 Gold Coast Highway at the Bel Air Building!
Broadbeach Physiotherapy Centre opened back in 1981, and was originally located in Albert St, Broadbeach. The practice relocated to inside the Broadbeach Family Medical Practice. The practice was purchased by Daniel and Ceridwen in 2008, from Pat Philippi, who had owned the practice for over 10 years. We’ve just moved to the Qube building in Broadbeach.
